Santa Monica, California- The Dominguez Firm wins a record-setting $2,534,613 jury verdict on April 26, 2017 in the Santa Monica Superior Court on behalf of a security guard that sustained a knee injury when a defective metal gate, missing the rubber stopper, fell on her. The owner of the car wash property, where the gate was located, had refused to accept responsibility.
The verdict amount is believed to have set a new record this year at the Santa Monica Court for a knee injury. Ms. Castro testified in Spanish. This latest record-setting jury verdict by The Dominguez Firm follows another recent $29,062,351 record-setting jury verdict that occurred on October 26, 2016 on behalf of a 19-year-old pedestrian that sustained a head injury when he was struck by a car at a crosswalk in.
Ms. Castro’s daughter also testified during the four-week trial regarding her concern for her mother’s well-being.
